The summer movie season is not complete without a good scare from under the water. This weekend Piranha 3D opens in theaters across the country. Congratulations to Alyssa Weisberg, the casting director on this film, and her team. Cast out of Los Angeles, New York and Arizona, with roles ranging from leads to stunt men, Cast It served as the primary hub for hosting actor info, actor lists, reels and auditions.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens this week. Congratulations to Rene Haynes, Stuart Aikins and Sean Cossey, the casting team on this film. Rene and her team conducted an online open call with ActorCast last summer looking for new actors to play alongside Taylor Lautner in the Wolf Clan. ActorCast received over 3,000 video submissions from all over North America.
Fall TV returns this week, and again this season, all five of the major networks are using Cast It to view cast lists, actors and auditions posted by casting directors from around the US and Canada.
All About Steve opens this weekend. Congratulations to Juel Bestrop and Seth Yanklewitz, the casting directors on this project. Juel and Seth’s team used Cast It to share auditions, reels, actor bios and resumes with Fox executives, the producers and the director for over 60 different roles.

Funny People won the weekend as the top grossing movie. Congratulations to Allison Jones, the casting director on this project. Cast It was used by by the casting team to upload auditions and actor info to be reviewed by the producers and Universal executives.
G-Force was the top grossing movie this weekend. Congratulations to casting director Ronna Kress on a job well done. Ronna’s team used Cast It to share actor reels and auditions with the producers and Disney studio executives throughout the almost 2 year casting process.
