Cast It has launched a talent rep and actor services web site called ActorCast. Talent reps and actors can create profiles, manage packages that combine headshots, resumes and reels, and submit to roles made available by casting directors using Cast It.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol opens this weekend. Congratulations to April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg, the casting directors on this film. Cast It was used by the casting team to manage role lists and ideas, upload actors to those lists, and to ultimately upload and attach video reels and auditions to those actors for the filmmakers to review.
ABC today announced that it has picked up Bud United Presents: The Big Time, a new reality series produced by Budweiser. Last summer, Cast It worked with Budweiser to launch and manage an online open call site where hopeful contestants could sign up and submit a headshot picture, their questionnaire and a self-taped video for review by the casting directors, ad agency team, and Budweiser producers.

New Year’s Eve opens this weekend. Congratulations to Amanda Mackey and Cathy Sandrich-Gelfond, the casting directors on the film. Cast It was used by the casting team to upload and view actors, reels and audition videos from New York and Los Angeles for over 50 roles.
The Descendants opens this weekend. Congratulations to John Jackson, the casting director on this film. John and his team used Cast It to upload, store and manage lists, actors, reels and auditions for over 60 roles. Audition material for the film was uploaded from Los Angeles, Hawaii, and New York.
The new trailer for Project X has been released and it highlights Jonathan Daniel Brown, the winner of an online open call conducted by the filmmakers and powered by Cast It and ActorCast. Jonathan submitted a video to the open call web site and was ultimately chosen by the casting directors and the filmmakers to play one of the lead roles in the film. Project X is scheduled to be released on March 2nd. Congrats Jonathan!
Tower Heist opens this weekend. Congratulations to Kathleen Chopin, the casting director on this film and her team. Cast It’s online casting platform was used as the primary online hub for the casting directors, studio execs and filmmakers to share lists of actors, actor information, headshots, video reels and auditions. Cast It organizes project data automatically to provide the filmmakers with en easy and secure way to quickly review the videos and/or actors that the casting team has selected.
Paranormal Activity 3 was the top grossing movie this past weekend. Congratulations to Terri Taylor, the casting director on the film and her entire team. With actors and auditions being uploaded from Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, Cast It was used by the team to keep the vast amounts of material organized by role and region as well as to create “review” roles containing actors and auditions that were a high priority for the filmmakers to view.
