2009 Record Year!
Over 1,000,000 auditions, reels and casting videos were viewed on Cast It in 2009. Thank you to all of the studios, casting offices and production teams for making 2009 a record breaking year!
Cast It has launched a talent rep and actor services web site called ActorCast. Talent reps and actors can create profiles, manage packages that combine headshots, resumes and reels, and submit to roles made available by casting directors using Cast It.
Cast It has built the most robust, full featured online casting service available that allows casting directors, studios, directors, producers, and productions to share, view and comment on actors, auditions and reels.
Cast It is used by every major film studio, the big five television networks and studios, and over 400 casting offices worldwide. Over 4,000 studio executives, production executives, producers and directors have Cast It accounts.
Cast It’s latest innovation is the Online Open Call system that allows actors from anywhere in the world to submit their headshot, resume and audition to a publicly accessible web page. This is the perfect solution for open calls, reality show casting and/or as a promotional vehicle for building interest in an upcoming project.

Book of Eli opens this weekend. Cast out of Los Angeles and on location in New Mexico, Cast It was used as the primary hub for managing lists, actor info, auditions and reels. Congratulations to Mindy Marin and her team!
Youth in Revolt opens this weekend. Cast in Los Angeles, New York and Michigan, casting directors Joanna Colbert, Rich Mento, and Meredith Tucker, used Cast It to share lists, actor info, reels, and auditions with each other and with the film’s director Miguel Arteta and the producers. Youth in Revolt was also the first film to use Cast It’s Online Open Call system to do a nationwide search for the role of Sheeni.

Also opening this weekend is Leap Year from Universal Pictures. Cast by Nina Gold from London, Cast It served as the primary casting hub between Nina’s team and the Universal casting team and the executives based in Los Angeles. Congratulations to Nina and her staff.
Sherlock Holmes opens this Christmas. Cast exclusively out of London, the film’s casting director, Reg Poerscout-Edgerton, uploaded cast lists, actor info, reels and auditions to Cast It for review by the producers and studio execs in Los Angeles. Congratulations to Reg and his team!

The Twilight Saga: New Moon opened this weekend to long lines and a huge box office gross. Cast It played an integral part in the casting of this movie, not only as the online hub where actors and auditions were uploaded and viewed, but also as the engine that powered a multi-nation online search for actors to play two of the Wolf Pack characters. Congratulations to Rene Haynes and her team on assembling a fantastic cast.
